AWCZlogoblackborderwebThe American Women's Club of Zurich is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to providing opportunities for friendship and personal development.  We actively engage in philanthropic and community service projects in the greater Zurich region, throughout Switzerland and in the larger global community.

Who we are 2014Just the Facts - Did you know?

  • The AWCZ was founded on January 28, 1931.

  • Our membership consists of 300 Americans and non-Americans with close ties to the US of all ages and diverse backgrounds. Some of us just arrived to Zurich while others have lived here for over 40 years.

  • The Club's working language is English, but we also speak German, Swiss German, French, Italian and other languages.

  • We've supported many local organizations and charities over the years including most recently: Tischlein deck dich, Terre des hommes (TDH), Pink Ribbon Cancer Walk, Schweizer Berghilfe, Biovision, Flying Croissant, Kindertreff KL-Einstein and FIZ.

  • The Clubhouse has been conveniently located in central Zurich for 20 years and serves as a vibrant meeting place for Club members and friends, and where many of our activities and events are held.

     

  • The Club is nonpartisan.
