We will make Japanese inspired Christmas ornaments using antique Japanese Kimonos and fabrics and pine cones. We will then use the leftover fabrics to make cards that can be re-used as frames for your pictures by the receiver. A lovely card as well as a present. "Mottainai" is a Japanese word meaning not to be wasteful of our natural resources and to make use of everything that we can".
Having grown up in Japan, Lilli Makinson loves Japanese Antiques and Crafts. Nothing was wasted in Japan in the past, everything that could be recycled was. Later on after the Great Hanshin Earthquake her family moved to Shanghai where they established their own business manufacturing and selling Jewelry and Silk Creations. After 20 years she has moved back to Switzerland to be near her eldest daughter and her family. Lilli is a Spiritual teacher and a Traditional Japanese Reiki Master Teacher.
