Musee Visionnaire’s “Papagena and Other Odd Fishes”, celebrates the creative passions of unconventional artists, “odd fishes”. The lives and art of these artists fused as they expressed themselves through the media of opera, dance, theater and costume.
Bernard Vogelsanger ran his private opera house in his two bedroom apartment. He designed figurines and sets, presenting opera performances to small groups of friends. The work of other artists in this exhibition include trompe d’oeuil wool work and ceramics, the costumes of dancers and rock musicians, and poetry and photos of a bon vivant Swiss poet.
Join us afterwards for coffee too.
