Date: Thursday, March 23
Time: 18.00 – 20.00
Presenter: Daniel Frey
Daniel Frey started to follow his passion for Champagnes after he descovered the cruical difference between grower Champagnes and the big and well known Champagne houses. He presents a selection of grower Champagnes, yet unknown to Switzerland, but well established in France. You will yourself validate the revelation of secrets regarding good practices and tasting, quality and composition, sweetness and acid profile. Daniel Frey introduces the characteristics of up to eight great Champagne wines. You will take home an experience that will change the way you perceive Champagnes and wines.
After studying Environmental Science at ETH Zurich, Daniel Frey received his Ph.D. in Natural Sciences at the Geobotanical Institute at ETH, then he started to develop software for high schools and larger Swiss companies. Today, he is coaching agile teams and leverages self-organization in companies. His love for Champagnes grew after several years of passion for red wine (namely Bordeaux of the eighties) and became a professional side-business. Daniel Frey has chosen to focus exclusively on grower Champagnes. www.frey-champagne-import.ch
