Discover Museum Rietberg’s “Osiris, Egypt’s Sunken Mysteries” with the Art Guild. This exhibition presents the myth of Osiris and contains nearly 300 statues, objects and sarcophagi from sixteen centuries. Most of these were discovered in recent underwater excavations of two towns lost beneath the sea in the 8th century A.D. The museums of Cairo and Alexandria have also loaned splendid pieces for this exhibition.
After the May 12 Coffee Morning, we will travel together to Museum Rietberg, have lunch in their Café, and tour the exhibition afterwards. Some of us may also want to walk in the lovely Rieterpark too.
