FAWCO is the oldest and largest non-partisan organization representing private sector Americans abroad. FAWCO works to keep our members up to date on issues concerning Americans living overseas including citizenship, voting, taxation, and banking.
FAWCO was instrumental in the creation of the Americans Overseas Caucus in 2007 and participates actively in the annual Overseas Americans Week in Washington DC.
FAUSA (FAWCO Alumnae USA, Inc.) is a network for Americans who repatriate to the U.S. It facilitates the repatriation experience of members and helps them maintain their international ties.
FAWCO is a United Nations accredited Non-Governmental-Organization with special consultative statuswith the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and is a member of CONGO (Conference of NGOs with ECOSOC). FAWCO supports the United Nations through its Global Issues Task Forces and Target Program.
FAWCO Global Issues Task Forces raise awareness on issues supporting the UN Millennium Development Goals (Education, Ending Violence against Women and Children, Environment, Global Aging and Health) and serve as a call to action at the club and individual level.
Every three years, FAWCO member clubs select one of these global issues on which to focus their targeted efforts through awareness and fundraising. The current project 2016 - 2019 has just been launched: Education - Empowering Women and Girls through Knowledge and Skills

The FAWCO Foundation raises and administers funds for FAWCO philanthropic efforts. The FAWCO Foundation annually distributes Development Grants to programs and projects proposed by member clubs as well as Education Awards to members, their children and grandchildren For more information about FAWCO scholarship click here
FAWCO Disaster Relief Fund (DRF) can be activated by the FAWCO board or at the request of a FAWCO club in response to a disaster in order to provide timely emergency relief or support recovery and rebuilding projects through a reputable international organization.
The AWCZ is a Platinum Donor ($3001-$6000) to the FAWCO Foundation.
Through annual global conferences, regional meetings, special interest bulletins, newsletters, and the FAWCO web site, FAWCO offers its member clubs networking and best practices sharing with clubs around the world. FAWCO’s Club Outreach Program brings FAWCO content expertise to your club.
