We use mirrors every day, prepping for the day, looking at ourselves. But do we ever consider the mirror itself? This Rietberg exhibition presents the intriguing cultural history of the mirror. Over two hundred works from museums and collections around the world including mirrors, paintings and objects trace the development and cultural and social impact of the mirror. Also included in the exhibition are paintings by female artists showing what they saw of themselves in mirrors, their self portraits.
After our tour, we will enjoy lunch together at the Rietberg café, possibly outdoors weather permitting.
