Dear Experts,
We have a new article available (https://www.fawco.org/us-issues/u-s-voting/u-s-voting-articles/5124-fawco-clubs-oppose-attacks-on-overseas-voting-rights-all-hands-on-deck), which I hope you will promote and circulate in your clubs. I also hope it will spark ideas from you about the next steps we should take as a Committee. While we should obviously keep fighting for overseas voting rights, what can we do in '25 and '26 to increase the impact of overseas voting? See the questions at the end of the article, provide your own answers and share your ideas!
And thanks for all you do. MSB
P.S. Particularly loud cheers for AAWE and AWCB for their initiatives!
FAWCO Clubs Oppose Attacks on Overseas Voting Rights – All Hands on Deck
Attacks on overseas citizens’ right to vote in US elections have escalated. FAWCO has done its best to inform members about these and suggest ways to fight back, and member clubs have taken action. While a couple of immediate dangers seem to have been overcome, another remains and more are under way. More FAWCO clubs and members should join in this work, at least through the federal elections in November 2026.
Taxation without representation remains tyranny, and every citizen should fight it. To join the US Voting Committee or to ask questions/make suggestions, contact the Chair at voting@fawco.org.
