What’s New This Year

While many of your favorite grants and awards are back, we’re excited to highlight a few new and updated opportunities:

NEW Education Award

The de Groot Foundation Literacy is our Legacy Aspiring Writers Award

This new award supports FAWCO and FAUSA members with active writing projects—fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or experimental. Whether you’re published or just starting out, this is for you.

Funds may be used for workshops, retreats, editing, coaching, or other meaningful investments in your craft.

Dual Cultural Award: Increased to $5,000

This long-standing award just got even more impactful. If your child is looking to attend a semester or year of American high school, or participate in an academic or structured educational summer program or sports camp in the United States, this one's for you.

Two Paths for Skills Enhancement

A reminder that there are again two Skills Enhancement Awards available this year:

$5,000 sponsored by FAUSA

$2,500 sponsored by The FAWCO Foundation

These are ideal for individuals seeking continuing education, certifications, or career development—especially if you don’t need a full $5,000 to meet your goals.

Apply by January 27, 2026
