AWCZ members are cordially invited to a Welcome Luncheon honoring the appointment and arrival of The Honorable Scott C. Miller.

The Luncheon will take place on May 9, 2022 from 11.30 - 14.00 at the Zunfthaus zur Meisen in Zurich. 

The cost for attending is CHF 120,00 for Members and CHF 150,00 for non Members. AWCZ members will receive the member rate, so when registering please ensure that you check the 'I am a member' button, and write in the remarks field 'AWCZ member' for better identification.

PhASE is hosting a Toiletry Drive for Fachstelle Frauenhandel und Frauenmigration (FIZ) from March 1 to April 30 2022. FIZ advocates  and supports Migrant Women and Victims of  Human Trafficking in Switzerland. 

Items accepted for toiletry drive: Toothpaste/brushes, hair brushes, deodorant, soap, razors, feminine care, hair & skin care products(travel size), hats, gloves, socks, travel bags, craft items, and small kitchen appliances.

We're looking for people willing to share their stories alongside our Archival exhibition representing 90 years of American Women in Zurich. All stories: happy, sad, strange, or ordinary are welcome to be included. Ideally, your story will be presented alongside a personal item of yours (for example: the first thing you bought here , or something you brought from home).

If you are interested in sharing your story or are willing to loan an item to the exhibition (or you would just like more information) please get in touch with Thea at artsclub@awczurich.org  artsclub@awczurich.org 

Call out those with an interest in curation, writing about our history, designing children's activities, and art. Planning is underway for the AWCZ 90TH BIRTHDAY EXHIBITION opening in November. Even if you're not sure where you will fit in, but want to be a part of the exhibit, please get in touch with Thea at artsclub@awczurich.org

We are looking for a volunteer to assist members in putting their activity ideas into action! This role assists members with the planning stages of an activity, answering questions, and putting them on the right track. If you are interested please contact Lucy or Erin.

Greetings from your AWCZ Membership Team! Although 2020 was a very different year, our members came together to make it a year to remember. 

To continue enjoying the Club and connecting with friends, please don’t forget to renew your membership. We have new activities and exciting things in store for 2021.

All AWCZ memberships expire on April 30, 2021. Membership renewal is CHF 175 for another twelve months of events and benefits. We understand that 2020 was a challenging year for everyone, the Club included. Solidarity is more important now than ever, and we want to continue to be here for you by providing events and activities. Your renewal is crucial for the Club to continue in these trying times.

Renewal payments must be received before April 30, 2021 to ensure your membership does not expire and to avoid a CHF 15 late fee. Please use the bank information below to make a bank transfer payment, and include your Name in the memo line. Other payment methods include PayPal and Twint (see below). However, PayPal and Twint incur processing fees for the Club, so bank payments via UBS are preferred.

Cancer Support Group is open to all cancer sufferers or survivors. The goal is to provide a safe space where everyone understands what it’s like to be given this diagnosis, where you can ask questions to those who’ve been through the same thing, and where you can get support and empathy. A cancer diagnosis can be an extremely difficult time, but so can living with it long term. We are a group of women going through life and hopefully making it a bit easier by supporting one another, no matter what stage we find ourselves in. We meet the first Wednesday of the month.

We met online for our Annual General Meeting on April 20, 2021. The new board was elected and we heard the updates from each board member for the year. Thank you to all who attended and we are looking forward to seeing you in the new Club year!
