No matter where we go, we always enjoy walking and talking with each other! After the walk we'll often grab a coffee or lunch somewhere nearby.

Join us for our monthly Women's Circle for connection and support. A women's circle is a safe space for women to come together, to share, connect, support, and empower each other. It is a space where each person is held, heard, and supported. Gathering in circle is an ancient tradition that helps us follow our internal wisdom to find what we need to heal and grow. It allows us to create common understanding amongst women, free of judgement. Circle is a fun and supportive environment where you can switch off, relax and focus on yourself all while enjoying the connection and support of other women. Each circle will have a specific theme such as self-love, gratitude, intuition, full/new moon, etc. We will include different elements of breath work, meditation, movement, music and maybe even a small craft. Come as you are: Wear what you are comfortable in or what makes you feel beautiful. Please bring a pillow to sit on. Yoga mats are available at the club. Cost: Free or Donation Based Registration/Cancellation Deadline: May 3, 2025 The women’s circle is offered on a free or donation-based model. If you are able, I welcome donations to help cover the basic costs of running the program, such as materials, and other operational expenses. Donations could be made via cash or Twint. This is open to members and nonmembers. For more information, contact Chantal.
Sandra grew up on the edge of Europe in County Donegal, Ireland and now lives in Zurich. This show blends her signature evocative landscapes with what she playfully terms “botanical shenanigans” - a series of mixed media floral works.
All of Sandra’s work is rooted in deep observation; she is a self-confessed “nature nerd” who, “spends a lot of time staring at stuff”. Yet, rather than reflecting the accuracy of her noticing, she emphasizes atmosphere and emotion, blending personal memory with present inspiration.
Visitors will be invited to immerse themselves in windswept terrains and moody skies, while also engaging with the intricate details of flowers, plants, ponds and forests. This juxtaposition of awe-inspiring landscapes with fragile flora encourages viewers to reflect on their relationship/interaction with nature and ensure that they savor small details as well as big views.
The exhibition opens on May 7 and runs until June 25.
On Friday May 9, Sandra will be the guest at the Club Coffee Morning (10-11.30).
For more about Sandra's story and artwork, visit sonorris.org or contact her directly at sandra.ondraschek@gmail.com. Please email Nina: galleryattheclub@awczurich.org if you have any questions regarding the vernissage.
